Bad News The Budget Bomber (my Brother) 1994 CTD Motor mount bolt is fragged !!!

Was in the pull off and the inter cooler boot blowed off from the air horn ,,, figgering this was a brand new set up with the fancy boost (spring) clamps and all something cant be right ... . got to looking and the drivers side motor mount looks like this... ... .

Im going to pick up a Grade 8 bolt and a nut and a few big washers to Redneck it back together like the rest of the truck :-laf

My problem is I need to know the Bolt Diamiter and lenght can somebody please help?

Thanks

Can you get a spanner in there to measure the nut and that will tell you what it is ????? 3/8 will be 9/16" and 12 mm /13 will be 18 or 19 mm

Job not done yet but I got the 3/8” x 4 1/4” and its about 1/2 the size of the factory bolt

:<

Going to chain the top down

Well See how it goes

But for anyone wanting to know the correct bolt is most likly a 1/2" x 4 1/4 - 5 "

Well the ol' cherry picker on the motor Didnt work out so well .....

it just picked strait up on the motor so we dissconnected the Pass side mount and re lifted the motor and still NOTHING .

We even tried to Cherry pick right off the motor mount but there aint no way that was going to work.

The trick was to dissconnect the InterColler Boots from the drivers side and using a jack and a 2 ft piece of 2x4 all the way on the drivers side of the oil pan with the pass. side mount unbolted ... then it would raise on the drivers side ... . we soon discovered that the bolt wasnt sheared off it had picked up out of the mount and slammed back in too far foward and wedged the HEAD side of the bolt in between the motor mount .

We raised it up lossened the bolt and replaced it back in the mount ... . re tighted the pass side,,,, reconnected the intercooler lines and Done... .

Just got done hooking a Chain over top the drivers side motor Mount and bolting it to the frame. Now lets see that torque pull that baby out.
