Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Motor Quit Running

Ideas ? Going down freeway about 70mph. Motor surged a couple of times and just died. Won't re-start. Got code 1693. Hooked up scanner and the only other code is PO234. VP44 related ? Crank position sensor related? Hate to have it towed to dealer if it's something simple that I'm missing. Only good thing is that it is still under warranty.

po-234 turbo boost limit exceeded. do you have any power increase toys . if not maybe you have a waste gate problem.
