Since I have a 03, I will ask here if anyone knows who made a motorhome in 96 or 97 with the 12valve p-pump engine. Thanks and I am sure someone knows. Tim
I saw one at a TDR rally in Kerrville, TX in summer or fall of 2001. It was a Class C motorhome built on an earlier 12 valve Dodge chassis. I think the name on the camper body was Shasta.
Shasta is an old name in travel trailers dating back to the '60s, perhaps earlier. The factory was somewhere in the state of Washington. I visited and took a tour when preparing to buy a travel trailer while living in Bremerton, WA in 1971 or '72. I think, but am not sure, the company went out of business years ago and the name was possibly resurrected for the Dodge-Class C motor home I saw.
Yes, you are absolutely correct. It WAS a Scotty that I saw although not that model. The one I saw had a shorter camper body and only a single rear axle. It also looked more proportional and less awkward than the one in your photos.
Do you own one or just knew who made it?
I would love to own one or just the camper body that I could mount on my cab and chassis.

Many of the Class A motorhome manufacturers used the 12-valve P-pump engine in their chassis in the years from '94 to '98. I remember seeing a class A Fleetwood motorhome (I don't remember the model or series) a TDR member had recently bought and drove to one of the TDR Roundup and Rallies in Columbus IN in the '90s.
With the info, I see that they made one with a 5-speed manual. I like the idea of getting under the hood, intead if inside the coach. 25 foot is about right. Thanks again fellas, i knew you guys would know!!! Tim
