Some guy I work with said he herd it on 770 am talk radio out of cincy,Ohio. The company, MOTORKOTE is in Gahanna, Ohio, they sell it online or in truckstops, like TA, Roadranger PILOTs, Flying J's too I think. It's somewhat pricy, but 1- 32oz. bottle I read on, for heavy duty diesels you put in 2 or 3oz's per each quart of oil the engine holds . It treats the metal not the oil !! It's used at every 4th oil change, they say? The guy I work with said a team in nascar or some racing team, got caught using MOTORKOTE oil to soak the motor parts when they built the race motors, BUT DID NOT ADD IT TO THE OIL !!! He said they found it after they won alot of races in a row, by testing inside engine metal parts!! they sale gas / diesel treatment too, 1- 16 oz bottle treat 160 gallons. MK Oil can be put in auto, manual trannys, differentials, transfer cases, and power steering boxes too, It's the same oil used in the engine oil tooo!!

Like what was pointed out to me when I inquired about a certain oil, that is a CI-4-plus oil, "If you don't know anything about it, WHY would you want to use it". Sounds like snake oil to me. Some of the old additives of years past have returned. .

That stuff is touted on the truckin' Bozo Radio show on XM/Serius ch 171 (XM). . they also have a general use lube oil for all kinds of things. .

Why bother? Use a reputable, APPROVED oil and it will run 500k, waste of time and money to do anything else.

You are better off sticking with a well known brand name CJ-4 rated oil. Additives do not cut it with these engines. There are many great oils available, both petro and synthetic.
