My weekend project in installing a cell phone booster and through the roof antenna in my '06. My biggest concern is poking a hole in the roof, any tips from the group in mounting a through the roof antenna?

Also going to need to remove the A pillar cover (the thingy with the handle). How in the world do you get the screw caps off on either side of the handle without bungling up the caps? i've tinkered with them and wanted to know if there is a secret before i mangle them.

How hard is it to pull the headliner down (partially remove) so that I can get in there and run wires and mount antenna?

thanks, this group is always full of ideas and experience

I don't have an answer for your particular question, but I can tell you without a doubt if you leave ANY shavings from your hole drilling on the paint, it WILL rust through. Just a caution as I've seen so many so-called professional installers simply leave those little shavings.

thks JHardwick, that gives me a better idea of how to approach. through the dome light is a sound idea. don't like drilling on the rig but i know thru the hole works the best. will go exploring this weekend to see how much trouble i can get into.

Hey, don't forget that a piece of #10 or so solid wire and some black tape makes some good bait for fishing!
