Mounting Gauges

I am about to order Boost, Exhaust Gas Temp and transmission Temp gauges for my '05 Quad Cab 2500 and would prefer to use the Triple Dash Pod mount. How difficult is it to fish the wiring up thru the dash? I recall an article in TDR some time back about it and, as I recall, it wasn't easy. The pillar mount seems to put the gauges very close to your face.

I pulled the stereo out of the dash and was able to fish everything through and catch the harness to pull through the hole in dash for dash pod.

another option is to go overhead mounts
