OK so our local Mus musculus (blasted mice) must have read some recent TDR postings about them… They've called in an offensive strike and eaten 6 inches of rear window washer line in wifeys Commander (is a waterfall an optional feature in these vehicles??). My question to you guys: any experience using truck air brake line in place of the softer rubber (or tygon) OEM lines?? I was also plannng to scratch up some electrical braidd (if you can find it) to jacket it. Sadly, my professional training tells me: 1. they aren't even affected by the methanol in washer fluid (nope, not even 3 blind mice redoux) 2. adding ethylene glycol to the washer fluid will tarnish both the body finish and my hippocratic oath!!

I cranked mine up 3 or 4 winters ago and seed corn blew out my tail pipe. You might try some of that clear vinyl hose like they use on a portable oxygan systems. There are 2 or 3 sizes. I used some on a chain saw for gas line about 5 years ago sill using it.

Maybe you can use this slip braided stainless steel wiring loom OVER the regular vinyl/pvc tubing. If they start eating through the Stainless, then you have mus metallicus, not mus musculus, and then you'll just have to poison them (which is NOT be a bad idea anyway... die rodents and varmints!!! #@$%!)

If you go to this link, I am not talking about the chrome/plastice loom at the top of the page, but the stainless steel one 2 item down... item #SSWL is 6' of wire woven loom for $10. I have used it to as wiring loom and it is quite durable and flexible.

If they aren't chewing on that, they'll be tearing something else up. Dryer anti static sheets (like Bounce) are supposed to repel them. I've used them in my stored slide in camper the past two winters, no problems so far.
