Hi Folks , Another amateur question here? When I installed the fuel plate

I put it in exactly where the original one was following instruction from TST.

Now should I open it up again and see if I can move it forward? When you mention moving it full forward , is that toward the front of the engine ie : towards the fan? or towards the firewall? For now, I do not have any smoke good thing right! If I do move it forward , will this cause smoke , and will I have to readjust the star wheel? Sooner or later I'll run out questions.

Thanks for your help , Jim up in Canada :)

forwards is towards the fan end of engine, slide it to front gives more fuel thus more smoke, this can be controlled by adjusting the starwheel. Turning starwheel towards engine will loosen spring tension giving more smoke, away from engine or towards fender will tighten spring and lessen smoke by limitinf fuel until boost psi is obtained.

This is a pretty generic explanation of what is happening but if you play around with it you will get it to your satisfaction.
