Took the plunge, Bought a 2010, 6. 7. Had a 04 with the Smarty Jr. Waiting to get the hitch on the new truck can not wait to pull the toyhauler. Question : I had a X-monitor for the 04 and liked the digital part and ease of install Has anyone tried the Glowshift ? and what tuners leave a tracable foot print and do any of them not leave one ? Is it worth the cost to get a turner with the gauge setup all in one ? Thanks for all the info of the past you guys are a great help.

Unless you're going to dlete all the smog stuff right away, any modern tuner will do. Every one swears by their favorite. I'm going with a H&S minimaxx after Christmas. Goodbye smog junk, hello mileage increase. Good tradeoff I think.

Congrats on the new truck, I hope you enjoy it as much as I have mine. With the new 6. 7L engine and the ECM controls for them any tuner will leave a foot print in the ECM. This could or could not cause an issue with the dealer and Dodge over the engine warranty.



I can not speak for the other tuners or monitors out on the market place but I am familiar with the Smarty. I am using the Smarty with the ME program installed and a 5"TBE. I decided earlier on in 2009, that I will be my own warranty station. The only issues that I had where with the emission equipment and not the engine. Since then I have not been back to the dealer for any repair work at all.



Depending on were you live you might be able to delete and then you might not be able to. I have attached the SEMA list for all states and their diesel emission testing requirements. SEMA SAN - SEMA ACTION NETWORK



I have the ISSPRO gauges installed on the A-pillar EGT'S, Boost and Trans temp.
