Mp8

Does anyone have any experience using the TS Performance MP8 regarding fuel mileage. I have an 05 3500 with 4:10 gears and automatic trans. and would like to increase my fuel mileage. Right now I am lucky to get 15. My truck has about 56,000 miles on it.

I had an MP-8 for a while. I would imagine you may get a 1 mpg increase if you're running it. I would recommend not going over 50% for sustained periods. Your injectors will not like it long-term.

I hae the mp-8 on my 06 and saw a little under 1mpg on a good day. It does a great job at adding power but at full turn the throttle gets touchy. I saw better results from the smarty jr witch i have stacked with the mp8 but keep the mp8 turned down most of the time.

The MP-8 is a presssure box. Pressure is a tricky thing with these CR engines and can cause lots of problems. Unless you are looking for some stacked components and big power I would seriously consider a timing and duration mod for mileage.

I was running the predator/puck combo. I didn't like to fact that the puck only has three settings. I sold it (and got screwed on ebay!) and got a ts box.



It does seem a little more aggressive than the puck, and I like the fact that I can adjust it from 1-100%. I made a metal bracket, sprayed it, and made a "power level" label for it and placed it in the cig box. If I wasn't so lazy, I'd attach a pic.



I am still running it with the Predator. Awesome combo, makes me happy. With a performance "stack" tune and the ts on 33%, the rail pressure is about 23. 5k. It does ramp up quicker. .



I haven't tried the ts on 100% yet, but I have tried it on about 66%. The pressure did get up to 25. 5k+ quickly, so I am guessing that 27-28k would be easy with the ts set on kill.



Like the earlier posts have said, I use it as a quick, and not very often, kill mode for that stoplight drag race!
