My 2001 has 268k miles. The only upgrade was a bullydog plug and play module. This paticular module adds approx 65hp is non adujustable and about 7 years old. A local dodge dealership had replaced my VP44 pump and had installed the new intank lift pump. Ever since then, I have had a 3-4 mpg decrease in fuel economy. I have learned through my own suspitions and from the cofirmation of a former employee that this dealership was cheating customers. My first opinion from someone is that the module was fried by the dealership. I am having trouble noticing a difference in performance when I unplug the module, so I am not ready to conclude yet that it is the module. Does the dealer reflash the computer that could possibley fry the module? Is their an adjustment that could made? Any other ideas?

I have an 01 also. The lift pump was replaced by warrenty and put in the tank. bad deal. would never do again. my fuel mileage dropped 2-3 or more from that day

If you do not have a fuel pressure gauge you need one which will confirm that the in tank lift pump is a joke. Replace it by pulling it out of the tank and installing a draw straw and an AirDog. I have 370,000 on my AirDog and it has never let me down and puts out 19 psi all the time. PM me for dealer contact.

Godspeed,
Trent

Not Hijack this thread... but... I have a 99 2500 5 spd that I purchased new and have driven a grand total of 57k in 10 years. The MPG has decreased about 23% over 10 years with similar driving habits. Of course I hear from all the 100k folks that my truck is not even broken yet. After reading some of the threads on the forum about reduced MPG, I am thinking my first step would be to change out the IAT sensor. BTW I have installed a Glacier lift pump that consistantly puts out 20psi.

Any thoughts??
