I'm on Fuelly. Just did 2nd fill up. 25% city driving. The freeway time was @78mph. #'s worked out to 25.0mpg. EVIC agreed precisely, which agrees with the other descriptions of EVIC being surprisingly accurate..

My read out is a bit optimistic by about 1-2 mpg but all in all the Mpg's run 17-18 around town and 20-22 on the highway bobtail. towing 13-15 mpg all hand calc.

That was my best tank yet, last one was around 26 mpg. My drive to work is about 32 miles and most of the time I can set the cruise on 65 mph and just let it run. Thinking about bumping it up to 70 mph to see what the results are.

I have put close to 750 miles on mine already in a week and am averaging 30.2 mpg. Empty, except for 5 people in the truck. mostly highway. I am pleased so far.

Speed has been 65-70 m.p.h and the mileage is staying between 26 and 28 m.p.g. The DEF is another story, it is supposed to go 10k miles and it does not look like it will. I have over 3600 miles currently and I am below the half way mark on the DEF gauge. The gauge showed 100% at delivery, not sure if it was a full as it could be though.

Just talked to one of my buddies with a new 1/2t diesel.. Minden Nevada to Boise Idaho 28mpg hand with about 1000# of stuff in the bed.

Just driving tow small boating to Monterey average is 26 mpg at mostly 55 mph, there is quite bit of construction on 101 to Monterey.

My EVIC shows 22.9 for the 450 miles the truck has been driven. 75% highway miles at 75MPH or higher.
The truck has 3.92 gears and 20" wheels/tires.

Update on mine, last tank was 27.18 m.p.g. When I filled up I had 5356.5 miles on the clock and drove it eleven days until I reached 5951.8 miles for a total of 595.3 miles requiring 21.9 gallons to top it off. I was sitting at the quarter tank mark when I decided to fill it up, the range to empty still showed about 180 miles I think. At the time I filled up the lie o meter was showing 27.8 m.p.g so it's no too far off. All my driving is highway miles no less than 64 miles round trip for work running 65-70 m.p.h. Currently have 6100 miles on the truck and it has been flawless, no cel's or codes popping up and nothing about the dpf being full and needing to be regenerated.

This is what I want to hear. My wife if chomping at the bit to get one of these but I'm going to wait and see how it's does over the winter. The local dealer purchased 2 of these for personal rigs and they are going to see how well they do over winter and if the reports are positive, well order one in spring.

Please keep posting mileage info.

I will get a chance to run it for a while in September when I head to Colorado for vacation, 740 miles one way. I don't think I will have any issues with a Texas winter at all. I will get to test it out in February when I head back to Colorado to ski, I picked up the cheaper cord alternative for the block heater which will get installed once it cools off here. I have had one issue that seems to be intermittent and has only happened maybe five times since I took delivery. The buttons for the four wheel drive system do not illuminate at night, if I restart the truck all is well. Think I will wait till the buttons stop lighting up before I take it in.

I tow a ~7500lb 24' enclosed trailer on roadtrips each month. Have gone thru a lot of tow vehicles. https://www.turbodieselregister.com...O-BABY-IS-A-VM-MOTARI-ECODIESEL-RIGHT-FOR-YOU

Most recent tow vehicle was an 2000 F-250 Powerstroke diesel. 2 weekends ago I did 542mi round trip and got a surprising 14.4mpg. Tow speed 62-64mph. That's an honest 1mpg better than I'd have gotten in the "pre-EPA" and therefore very efficient Powerstroke big diesel. I've a buddy with a late model Cummins and his EPA choked diesel couldn't quite get the mpg that my older rig could.

I've done a number of similar roadtrips now with the Ecodiesel. The picture that is emerging is that as long as you keep the engine in it's comfort zone, that is to say not tow something that needs a sustained 400ftlbs, it will give you better mpg then a big diesel. If I my trailer was 2' taller, for example, the edge in mpg would probably disappear. If I was pulling up mountains a big diesel would probably get better mpg then the straining Ecodiesel.

In 2 weeks I'm retracing the same route, Savannah, GA. to Road Atlanta, a race track N. of Atlanta. Next month I'm towing the trailer to a race weekend in New Orleans, a round trip of 1300mi.
