MPG Up with new smarty program

So I just downloaded the newest smarty program and my MPG is up another 2 MPG. Did marco make this update with fuel economy in mind for SW #1? I'm running #3 but noticed a dramatic increase in fuel milage. Even with my 305 20" rims I'm getting 20 mpg on the freeway at 70 plus MPH. So again, was fuel economy marco's goal with this one?

Where do you live? It could be related to the end of winter blend fuel as well.

I live in southern idaho and they did recently switch back over to summer blend. However, I've been tracking my fuel milage data over a period of about 2 years and have never seen such good MPG. The change was immediate when using the new updated smarty program.

That's great news. My local fuel stop finally gave in and is now running ULSD and as a result, I've lost 4mpg. Anything at this point will be an improvement.

Which program is this? Is it the one posted on the site or the one Bob was talking about higher egt's?

When I noticed they had updated the files on MADS site I downloaded the latest update for the mild torque managment setting for my 04A. I ran that program on #3 and holy cruddy. My EGT's went through the roof at WOT and I had absolutely no power. It just poured smoke from the back which isn't necessarily a bad thing as long as you've got the power to boot. Which I didn't. So I got a hold of Bob and he sent me another file to try out and it worked great. My fuel economy is up quite a bit. I was just wondering if that updated program was aimed at improving fuel economy because it sure helped at least 3 MPG on my truck and thats hand calculated.

I just got a SMARTY yesterday believe its shows 04A, does it need an upgrade already for my 07?

Also what setting are you on 1 or 3, seems to read like #3 in your thread.

the latest software is 207 I always ship with the lastest software installed.

Loading new file now, gonna add at least 600 miles to the truck next week, we'll see if I can break my best yet mpg of 20. 2

how do you tell which software version your smarty has on it, and which is the best standard software if you are wanting the best mileage??

When you plug your smarty in the software version reads on the screen for awhile. Can't help you with the second question.
