VP44, ECM and wiring harness on Ebay

Mr. BOB is a great dealer to purchase from. He is very prompt to ship and has good prices. I have been totaly satisfied with his performance.

Mr Bob is a great guy, I have met him several times and he is always great to deal with and an all around great guy.

the company doesn't even know the flow rating of the pg7. - wtf. they say it flows 10% less..... ok, 10% less as compared to the Magnum force - i could do even that math - how do they know it flows 10% less -- this is rediculous!

do they have a piece of test gear that is marked off in 10% graticules..... "yep, it's 10% less alrighty..... cue, cue, cue... ... ..... "

so with that, how do you know it is 99% efficient in stopping foriegn material?

Call up AFE to see how much it flows. Joe Donnely Should know also.

Finally came today. Took about 45 minutes to install. Stuff is tight fitting.

Turbo sounds like a 747. But not to loud.

i had correspondence w/AFE

i'm not on this site just "stirring propaganda"

that is my problem w/a lot of the vendors - they introduce a product, make outlandish claims w/no bonafide test data to back it up - and when someone asks them to prove it, they always respond w/ a stupid answer.

i hear ya' JEFFH, the information you provided above is hands-down more info and has more credabilty what you can get from some vendors/companies. especially the Oo. data point

:D

Rdietz,I stopped by AFE today and talked to Nick,They do have the flow numbers for the Proguard filter. I have the excell spread sheet with all the numbers. It will be added to Mr Bobs website soon. But for now I can tell you that it flows 698 cfm @ 1. 5"h2o.

This should answer your question and put the guesses to bed. I personally have never seen any of those outlandish claims. I have seen their flowbench, dyno, shop, and have learned a lot from my visits with Nick. I will try to figure out how to post the chart here.

outstanding bob! it is good to see some numbers. it is ironic how AFE has no such data? i was not talking "inperticular" to AFE, there are others out there (i. e. aeroturbine, TAG) that release products and "ho-hum" around getting the facts to the consumer - don't you think bonafide results would preclude the release of a product? i do appreciate the data - thanx much! at 698 cfm that is comparable to a BHAF - it will definatly aid in my decision for my next intake... . or shall i say... my next under-the-hood INVENTION!:D

10% flow restriction??????

thanks for the chart!

right away I see at max flow the restriction looks more like 20% rather than the reported 10% (Proguard7 v. MegaForce) that was reported @10% by AFE. i'm sure saying there was a 10% v. 20% restriction; will/has sell/sold that many more filters/intakes -- this is the point i am trying to make - only reporting a 10% restriction (which is false) when there is a 20% restriction when you see all the data.

knowing there is a 20% restriction that has comparable flow rates to BHAF AND paying ~$220 more than a BHAF intake would set you back, would definately turn a lot of potential buyers away from the AFE Pg7

my 3c:rolleyes:

apalling

that stock-box flow rate is certainly apalling - the ctd is an airpump - obvioulsy pickup diesel manufactures are not privy to this  :D
