at 45 k i drained transmission fluid in my six speed and installed amsoil series 3000 5w30 synthetic oil. the next day it was noticeably harder to get into gear and sometimes would grind from 3rd to 4th. i left the oil in for about 2 thousand miles and it never got any better. switched back to the $9. 00 a quart mopar stuff
that it calls for and what a difference. it goes into first gear all the time, never grinds from any gears, and shifts smoother when cold. it is a huge difference. why i put amsoil in there when it does not say ms-9224 on the bottle i will never know. ( i was told by amsoil that it was a better oil) If it was, it would say meets or exceeds ms-9224 on it. i hate to be lied to.
