Mt Biking at May Madness

My boys and I want to do some Mt Biking in the Lake Tahoe region while we're there. Are the "Mountain Bike Parks" public access? Specifically: Kirkwood, Norhstar, and Squaw Valley? It looks to me like they're publically accessible but you just can't get lift tickets until they officially open in June. True?

I'm not sure when mountain biking starts but check Northstar if you have never been there the trails are some of the best.

I believe Northstar is one of the best for Mt. biking. They may not be open yet though. Bring your crash gear.

My guess is "SNOW on them there hills". . don't know if you guys ride in/on it but suggest a 1-800 call

I don't mind an occassional crash -- only been k/o'd once -- hooked the front tire between a couple rocks and went over the bars down a little ledge! Woke up with a coupe guys standing over me yelling, "Hey! You OK!". Of course I said I was fine. There's a few minutes missing out of that afternoon! Bent the !*@(! out of the handle bars, noticed a huge lump above me knee when I tried to ride away. The 20 mile pedal home was a fun one that day.

Got carried away there,,, crash gear is a given -- snow is probably softer anyways. But it looks like we aren't going to have time to ride. Work is keeping me tied up and it looks like I'll be doing good to get there for one or two days. Hopefully I can make it at all!

i'm with willyslover... may not be open for the snow. remember... snow ain't that soft when it's two inches deep over rocks!! learned that one as a marine corps jumper.
