Mudflap width

I am going to buy some Northwest Custom mudflaps for my 2500. They are available in 12, 14, and 18 inch widths. I am not sure I see the point in the 18 on a single wheel truck. What are you running for widths on your 2500?



Also, is the length of the flap an issue, meaning... do you choose a length based on the height of the truck, or are the NW flaps tall enough for most any height?

mudflaps

hey Gordon!! I made a set of flaps out of some diamond plate stock I got from local store. They ended up being 12" wide by 24" long front and backs the same. This width was plenty to cover my 285-75-16 bfg's on 8" rims. I made them so they extend about

1 1/2" out from the fender to cover the extra tire that sticks out from the wheel well. The tops edge is lined up with the first crease in the body side moulding and extends down far enough to keep all mud off of the body!! Hope this helps

18" NW Custom Mudflaps

I have the same style as EricBu12, however mine are Brushed Stainless Steel and they are 18" wide. I think Eric's are also 18"and looks great... Not too wide.



The height Jason made mine was perfect.
