Just a quick question in regards on getting the cat out. When removing do you have to take the tail pipe and muffler off and then the cat or is there enough room to remove the cat without pulling the tail pipe and muffler out (removing it).

Paul

Flatlander,
It CAN be done! DC provides a cool little "handle" on top of the muffler. First, remove the bolt from the tailpipe hanger. Then hook one end of a come-a-long to the "handle", and the other to your receiver hitch, (or bumper). Remove the hanger at the tailpipe/cat junction, and crank the come-a-long. The muffler will move back far enough to remove the cat. When you put it back on, release the come-a-long and line it up! It should slide right back in.

fire803: I tried it. Pros: Nice sound. Cons: a bit on the loud side. I put it back together. Don't like to attract attention!

I did mine last week, and yes it does take a little bit to get use to. But the more I hear the way that it sounds and the response I get, its worth it. When I am around in town I just watch how hard I press it. I can already tell that there is more power, as far as mpg not sure yet. And the EGT's while towing has not been checked yet, next 5th wheel tow is after Thanksgiving. .

Firefighter, you know once you take them off you can always go back but you won't. Be sure and salvage the cat its worth somewhere arond $800. Muffler shops can cut em out if your talking resonator and muffler removal.
