Muffler replacement

I have a stock 2003 3500 4x4 quad cab long bed HO automatic SRW



I'm thinking I would like to replace the stock muffler with a flowthrough muffler. How about the resonator -- keep or repalce?

Suggestions on new mufler.

How does the sound compare to the original sound of the stock muffleer/resonator? I see there is a 4040 and a 4040XL, which one does he have?

the xl is around 20-24 inches long i belive an that is the one he has... If stock exhause is a 1 an straight pipe is a 100 i would say its a 75... sounds good but is loud!!! i can send you a video of his truck an u can hear it? pm me your email

Donaldson, 4'' I/O 4' long and easy to install. GReat sound even when pulling.

If this muffler is that Loud, I don't think I'm interested. I'm looking for one that is closer to stock
