Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Muffler Swap?

With my stock system (3" + resonator and I think no cat) will I get any mileage gains by switching to a straight through muffler?

Just a bit. I did replace the muffler with a mbrp muffler and I like it. I also did the free spin hub kit and with both gained 2. 3 mpg. I was not able to test one against the other so I can't give you a exact gain for each. Better throttle response and great sound. I did the muffler and piece of 3" pipe because the exhaust system is in good condition and I didn't have money for the complete mbrp exhaust.
