Let the games begin:p :p :p I have finally decided to join in the

Q & A's of the TDR forums. Hello to all. I have been reading these forums for about a year & ahalf now gaining vast amounts of info

on the Dodge CTD. all very interesting. I do have a few questions

now that I have passed the dread 36k :p :p Q#1-- is the walker

muffler 21470 a direct 1 for 1 exchange for the oe muff ???

I want to keep the resonater on. what I want is a nice deep

rumble. any help is appreciate. TIA

Welcome to the TDR

There is not direct exhange muffler for the OEM. The reason being the OEM is 4" coming in from the RES and 3" going out to the tailpipe.

Isn't the 21470 3. 5" in and out? I'd recommend the 21471 with 4" in and out. With a 4" to 3" reducer and maybe a short piece of 4" pipe, you could match it up to the OEM pieces pretty easily.

yes welcome,

I have 981/2 24 valve it does have res with 3'' in front and 4'' out I put it on stock down pipe and went out back with 4'' wye and installed duall 4'' stacks it does sound very nice, if I ever do it again I would go with dual 5'' for the megaphone tone. I know you will have a great time on this web all the people are very helpfull

Welcome aboard, You might try the magnaflow # 12772, its 4in in and 4in out and go 4in the rest of the way, my friend did that and his sounds great. Thats the way I'm going on mine soon. :)
