Help - I bought a 2012 Ram 2500 and the seller warned me the wipers didn't work when the truck is first turned on but once warm work fine. It seemed like an easy enough fix - multi-function switch at worst.

Bought a replacement multi-function switch from rock auto (the cheapest one) and the symptoms haven't changed. I also added di-electric grease to the connector - no change. At first this didn't seem terrible concerning but after driving in the dark with my high beams stuck on, trying to make turns across intersections with no signals and wipers stuck on with no rain and stuck off in rain it has become a giant hazard.

If the truck sits in the sun and the cab is warm - no issues, signals work, wipers work, high beams work. Engine temp doesn't matter.

If the truck is cold - none of those work.
If the engine is warm but heat not turned on nothing works.
If the engine is warm and heat turned on everything works.

Seller mentioned he had the heater core worked on - did the prior service loosen a connection somewhere? Where to even start?

You are going to need a scan tool capable of accessing the steering angle sensor so you can figure out where the communication is being lost.
