Thursday, 7:00 am, took the truck to the dealer for some warrenty work. First time it's been to the shop since I picked it up a year ago.

Thursday, 4:30 pm, shop manager called, said they didn't get everything done, needed to keep it over night so they could work on the engine cold in the morning.

Thursday, 5:30 pm, shop manager calls again. Say's they had a little problem, well they wanted to be up front with me. Well a technician sorta backed into my truck. Was going to need a new rear wheel fender. They would take care of it and should be done tomorrow.

Friday, 4:30 pm, haven't heard from the dealer. I call and the service guy don't know anything. He transfers me to the shop manager and I get cut off. Call back and the shop manager not available. The wife hauls me out there (15 miles). Manager says truck not back from the body shop. Tell him I have to have a truck for the weekend. They give me a Intrepred car (on empty), all they had. Looked funny when I loaded all the wood and tools in it for the job I was working on.

Monday, 4:30 pm, haven't heard anything. Call and well duh, it ain't ready. Maybe tomorrow.

Tuesday, 10 am, call and it's ready.

Now to top it all off, here's the work and I had done and what the results were.

Passenger side dual temp control wouldn't go to warm. They replaced A/C control head. Still doesn't work.

White smoke when first started of a morning, wanted injectors checked. Injectors all checked out okay, but they said to keep an eye on them in case one went bad. They flashed TSB 18-041-05 even though I specificaly stated I didn't want it. Truck still smokes like crazy of a morning.

Drivers mirror wiggling like a Harley. They said I damaged it (I didn't), but they replaced it cause they thought they owed it to me for the accident.

Oh, and I got a new rear bed flare.

Now I got a customer survey wanting to know how well my last service visit went. #@$%! How ya think I'm going to answere.

Probably won't matter how you answer the survey, most of the bad ones never find thier way to anyone important.

I filled out a couple with some VERY negative comments. Got a PHONE CALL from a DC representative. Funny thing, the service writer went missing, now they have a new guy??? I am not taking credit for his loss, seems there have been many complaints over a short period of time. NOW the dealership is advertising a NEW ATTITUDE and a NEW SERVICE WRITER. To me, that's just a bunch of crap as we still need a NEW DC ATTITUDE toward the customer and customer satisfaction.

AWay.

I took my truck in for a simple recall, all of a max 1 hour fix. It was raining hard and so I didn't do a walk around. One year later I STILL have scratches in my paint below my tail light on my rear fender from their negligence. I went from home to them and back with a perfectly NEW truck. GLAD to hear that they at least are owning up to their error, all I got was a spew of crap.

If you fill in excellent, the service "advisor" will get a bonus for doing a good job. But you have to put down excellent in every catagory, otherwise they will get no bonus money for the job.

I'm think'en they won't be getting a excellent rating from you on anything except FUBAR.

Hope it all works out for you.

I went to pick up the Tahoe I owned before the CTD one time. Large ding/dent in the drivers door... I knew I would be mad at myself if I just looked at that everytime from then on without saying anything. I went back in and they writer looked at it and knew it came from the lift, and they ended up fixing it and repainting the whole door (which made me nervous), but it turned out great.

On my truck, I took it in and it came back with a small ding and chip in the back left door, but I know that a complaint would at best result in that door getting repainted and it wasn't worth it, so I didn't pursue it.

Sure wish they could be more careful. I suspect these big trucks are more likely to bump into or get bumped into in the tight car lots too.

I personally know the owner of a local dealership here and believe me when I tell you crysler looks at all of the negative comments from unhappy customers and in turn it reflects on the dealership. coobie:)
