Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
Just changed out the factory rear cover for a Mag-Hytec cover. Real simple operation, just like all the posts state, and looks awesome too! However, the instructions say to use a 9/16" socket to remove the factory cover, it was a 13mm, at least on my truck, 03 4wd 48re, 10. 5" axle. No big deal, just bumped my head crawling out from under the truck. Also found out that it is indeed better to remove the spare before you get to the point of trying to refill the new diff. 315's are pretty big under the bed. .
Front and rear fluid was replaced with Amsoil Severe Gear 75 90. Old fluid was from factory, 65000 miles,(I know, I know), was black as sin, front still looked good though.
All and all, easy change, looks good, and the envy of my buddy with the same truck.
