Did a series of runs on Mustang Dyno& got some interesting readings. Did 4 runs ,3 of which were fairly consistent, best of those was;-244. 3HP @ 54MPH
1395. 6 ftlbs tq @ 54mph
for some reason on one run i did :-268. 5hp @ 58mph
1446. 6 ftlbs tq @ 57mph, #ad

I thought the machine might of been off on that run but the truck sounded & felt a lot different. Cant explain why the truck would put out 22 more hp & 51lbs of tq all of a sudden,I aint complaining though. These were actual to the ground readings & all runs were done with overdrive off . Also did a 17. 3 quarter mile ,78 mph ,with the truck weighing 7430 lbs.
My mods are;275,s,EZ,DTT,91% vb & tc,& K&N filter.

your trq #'s are really high. i think the normal ratio for a b series is 2. 2-2. 6 ftlbs for every hp.

The number I have sen on the Edge Mustang Dyno show both MPH torque and then actual torque by engine RPM.

As I recall HeberRam's truck had right at 1000 fp by MPH and 850 by RPM... He right at 300 HP for these numbers.

Bob,your right ,looking at the figures that does seem a little high,i can only assume that is multipied torque ,i now remember the guy talking about that ,didnt quite grasp that at the time ,the figures i gave were the ones on the printout.
Bill ,
I had an inkling that might be the case ,the guy at the dyno even suggested that ,but since i installed your kit i havent been able to determine wether i was in lock up or not, as everything is so much more positive than before & i remember you saying there wouldnt be the rpm drop like the stock set up. Should i be able to feel it going into lockup,do i need to make an adjustment?

Your torque #,s are way off. Torque is a calulation based off of RPM. To make 1400+ ft# of torque you would need to make 600-700+hp. These engines can,t make enough hp low enough in the rpm range to make that kind of torque with out making the hp #,s I listed above. When I dynoed on a mustang hp was 525 at 2750 and torque was 1072 at 2400. If I would of had an EZ on the truck when it was dynoed,it would of made more low end hp(from the added timing) which would of given me a higher torque #. Hope this helps.

TreeMan,
I think the only way to test the new 'mods' is to race! #ad

I already spanked a '4 door PSD' Friday, and today, Monday, I literally walked away from a Y2K Gasser 350ci Chevy 2500 Auto with his bed empty and mine with +500#'s in the bed + ladders on my overhead rack. OK, so I'm an immature '54 year' old 'kid' who's got 2ea $195 tickets to the Milwalkee Bucks vs Kings game Tues(thanks to my boss) and I'm taking my 11 year old son plus my truck in hope of smoking another PSD. #ad

Yeah Bob,grow up. he, he. I must admit my truck is on Ferd alert mode, pity my cobra radar ,isnt sensitve to any cackling. It lets me know when theres any automatic doors ( supermarkets etc) around which is most useful.
My wife would kill to get Kings tickets ,you must have a good boss. Enjoy the game & happy Ferd hunting.

you're never to old to be a kid--not that I'm knowledgeable in this dept, but that's the way I feel--love this BOMB stuff--just can't find a pherd or anything else to spank--but I'm sure my day will come--just itchin'---chris

i will have to agree with bill on the locked vs. unlocked , i saw a ram with a DTT 91% put 370 to the ground unlocked , couldn't get it to lock because the dyno couldn't load it over 5000 lbs , boost never came up to that of driving on the street , neither did the EGT's
