I'd say those numbers are excellent. Remember, advertised hp and torque are what the ENGINE produces on the engine dyno, NOT what is measured at the rear wheels.
Typically, there is a 20% loss or MORE, especially on a heavy 4WD vehicle.
For a 305/555, I would expect to see 240/445 at the rear wheels, so you're ahead of the curve. I think maybe Dodge underrated these engines.
Late-model LS-1 Camaros, which are rated at something like 325 horsepower advertised, routinely put down that much and more to the rear wheels, so GM WAY underrated them from the factory.
