MWTDR BBQ at Steve's house (Omaha) on July 31st.

We'll be posting more specifics (like; maybe; the address!) but mark you calander's now!

Having just relocated to the Council Bluffs-Omaha area I would like to meet you all. I have corresponded with Loren Crea last November but lost his email and couldn't get back to him. I hail from the Valley of the Sun(Phoenix, AZ)but my wife is from here(CB)and I am looking for an established chapter to help out this newbie. Anyway, I am more than ready to tap your brains and experience with these awesome diesels!!

Nutz.. foiled again..

Man, I have the greatest (crummy) luck. :( I hope to be returning home from RAGBRAI that weekend, so I won't be able to make it.

Looking forward to the next one though! BBQ's are one of my favorite foods! :) I hope that it gets to be a monthly thing in the warmer months.

Even just burning a few burgers or steaks on a charcoal grill at Hayworth Park and talking diesel would make it a great weekend for me!

Omaha

Big Mak,

I will be in Omaha that week at the Kelloggs plant. I would love to drop by the event.

I will have to see if they are giving me a rental car or a taxi. If you could let me know about how far away the event is from the plant (on HW80 and 70 ST I think), I can try to plan around it.

Thanks.

Steve's address is 3301 N 73rd st. . 1 block west of the old Steven's motorsports on 72nd. I'll try to scare up a map to post for you directionaly challenged folks. Will post more info soon.

Bombing is limited to what can be done in an afternoon. Gauges, injectors, turbo's etc. . No time for anything involved like a clutch or headgasket. There will be a considerable about of accumulated knowlege/experience wandering around to help. Let us know if you have a project in mind so we can source tools and plan our time accordingly. Of course most of us will be too busy eating and BS'ing to actually do any work.

For the food it looks we have the meat pretty well taken care of. However any contributions will be appreciated. We're going to have smoked pork sandwiches, smoked sausage, burgers & dogs. If you want steak or anything specific feel free to bring your own, we'll make room on the grill. While it's not mandatory, we're in need of side dishes. A-O please bring meal items, potato salads, cole slaws, beans etc. . P-Z bring a dessert. Again it's not mandatory but the more you bring the more we eat.

Parking could get tight, close to the Y. We'll sqeeze you in somewhere.

If you have any questions shoot me an email: eric@karr. us

Planning 12-? Eat about 2 pm.

If I can make it, mine needs to be done.

Well, what a welcome to Iowa. Heavy rains Thursday morning FLOODED my basement and spoiled my chance to meet with you all this Saturday. ARRRGGHH!!

Hope to meet you some other time. Will be thinking of you guys while I clean up the mess.....

I heard that there might be some diesel trucks from the Omaha area might be pulling at Indianola Iowa Saturday Morning. Is this anybody here??

If so I will be there with my puller(gas powered) and red dodge tow vehicle.

Won't make this one. :( Maybe next time.

My brother will be coming up from Texas, and I'm gonna try to get the flatbed installed on the Ram.
