Clean ride! Every time I see a Tri-Five, I weep a little that I sold my '55 Belair 2dr-post. I will build another one someday. Never sell it!!!

Greg,

Nice ride! It must be nice to go tooling around in, hitting the drive thru's, parades, nice work.

Greg, Happy New Year.

Very nice Greg - I had a '57 Belair HT, put in a warmed up 350, 3-spd w/OD floor shift transmission. Lots of fun. I was really looking forward to retirement, and building up another ground-up street rod - but we ended up here out in the sticks of eastern Oregon - not much area wide rod activity, didn't get a place with a shop or room for one, and it's hundreds of miles to decent wrecking yards as source material for various components.

Still keep my eye out for a ready made, completed rod/custom - came close a few times. but nothing yet... :{

Along with Dodge diesels and Mopar muscle cars, my other passion is tri-five Chevys. My ride senior year was my 57 BelAir... 6 years ago. Every other kid had a little 4 banger. . my car made me REAL popular!!

Im gonna be dropping an LT1/4L60 in mine come spring, and a 9" rear. Hasnt been on the road for 4 years, and I miss drivin my baby... stock 10 bolts SUCK!!

Good lookin car man. Quick question, is the RPM Shop still open in Ft. Collins? They had a good get together when I was going to WyoTech in 2003, would like to go again with my car...

StrokeThis, The RPM shop has been closed for a couple of years now. I was at their car shows a couple of times. Good luck with your ride, parts for these cars are big bucks. Kinda wish I had something else. Nova, Camaro ect.

'Tis true... but nothin fun ever is cheap! The rearends gonna be $3500-4k alone. I didnt know the RPM Shop closed; was down there a year or so ago looking for it but couldnt remember the street they were on. Thanks for the info (itll save me from driving around for an hour looking next time... )
