Archived My 95 died

I am the original owner of a 95 Ram 2500 equipped with a Cummins with about 8500 miles on it. Yesterday while warming it up it died and will not start. The fuel shows no sighn of contamination and is clean and green. I checked the banjo fitting on the pump side of the filter while cranking and fuel flowed. I also cracked a few injector lines while cranking and again fuel flowed. I am a long way from any service center and have no way to check for pressure or volume. Any advice would be appreciated.

The fuel solenoid appears to go up and down with the ignition switch but maybe it's not going up completely?

check the fuel shutoff solenoid it should be pulling all the way up ewhen trying to start the truck.

I dont have a 12 valve but I know there is a switch at the rear of the injection pump,that turns the pump off and on . I forget which way the plunger is for start. someone will chime in with the correct info. good luck with it.

The shut off solenoid needs to be in the UP position for the engine to run. Can wire it up to get home. Just have to un wire it to shut the engine off.

Turn the key to start. Leave the key on. Check to see if the fuel solenoid is up. If it is not pull it. Turn the key to start. If that works you probably have a bad fuel solenoid relay (the big one on the firewall next to the master cylinder) or you have a problem with the blue fusable link to the positive pole of the driver's side battery. It may be corroded, burned up, lose, or broken.

Perhaps it only appears to go all the way up so in the mourning i'll try to wire it up and give it a go. I do have fuel squirting when I crack an injector line with the engine turning over.

Another thing to check for is slipped timing.
