and it looks like her VP44 has gone away.

Cruising along and quit in the middle of the road,

by a gasser GMC, home she was towed.

Turned the key, 1, 2, 3,

all I saw was P1693.

15 pounds of pressure and plenty of fuel,

I'm beginning to think this isn't too cool.

Wired 12 volts direct to the pump,

turned the key and still no thump.

Well that's a crappy birthday present from her to you... Or her to herself I mean. Have no fear, it can be replaced and she will be running again like new. Only money, right?

Nice poem though, sorry to hear it, and good luck!

sorry to hear your baby is sick

take to the shop and get it fixed quick

If it goes to a dealer the price wont be to funny

do it yourself and save lots a money

the milage it gave you was pretty darn high

but now it has gone to its place in the sky

Maybe the thought of an extreme makeover was too much for the old girl.

Already did the front pads/rotors. There's a drag comp, gauges, and a clutch sitting in boxes, plus a fresh set of tires in the garage. Still need to order a turbo.

But she's gonna get those 2 deer hits fixed this week if I have to tow her to the bodyshop. While we're there, I figured we might as well Line-X the box and the lower quarters, but I think that new hood is gonna have to wait till I figure out what this pump is gonna set me back. :{

On the road again...

Poor truck spent a lotta time in the shop. Had to tow it home on Memorial day weekend so I could put the pump in. Sure took a long time to bleed. Seems to run stronger.

Did the new gauges and banjo bolts last weekend. More to go soon.
