New hobby time!

Diesel so much higher than gas?!

By my wife :-{}

I made the mistake of letting her ride it and now it is gone :{

"It's sooooo smooth and fast and I love the ABS, get your own "

Well her Vulcan is in the trader and I am searching for my dream RT.

Moral: Dont ever let your wife ride your bike.

Going to get a new RT Texas Diesel? Those GTs are cool too. I am kind of fond for the RS, kind of a sporty tourer. I haven't gotten to the point of my g/f wanting my bike. Besides if she ever did, she can't flatfoot it anyway, so its safe!

Crosses self and rolls eyes skywards... . deep sigh

I'm just thankful I survived my Beemer days... R600/6 and a R900/6. Got to admit the R900 was sweet. Traded it straight across for a 69 LandRover with a Chevy Iron duke and Warn overdrive. Best deal I ever made - never should have sold that baby.

Now I just cruise in my CTD and nod knowingly when passing a biker complete with bugs in his teeth and the storm clouds building :-laf

Yes I have been looking at the GS Dakar but I like the feel and windprotection of the RT's, I guess I need one of each :-laf

Rusty, once I get the RT lets all go meet up somewhere.

I had a R90/6, wish I still had it. What a nice bike it was indeed. At a recent bike swap meet, I talked to a HD shop owner who had a 1972 R-75/5 (?) with 250,000 miles on it and only minor repairs/maintenance since it was new. He said he loved HD but only wished they were as reliable and long lasting. His words.

Sounds great. We were on a weekend ride from North Houston (the Woodlands) out to Kerrville and back through Marble Falls, etc. a few weeks ago.
