My bud got an '89 LE 2WD for FREE!!!

So I come home from the upstate NY meet and greet in Syracuse sunday, and stop in at the fire house to make up training before the end of year. So as I step out of my truck, in pulls a friend of mine with his 1/2 ton Ferd, towing on a flatbed, a beat up '89 CTD! (CumminGs to him). My jealousy meter hits maximum. He picked up this beauty from a X-Mas tree farmer in the southern tier of NY. It hasn't run in about 2 years or so, he is planning on swapping it out into a crew cab of some make. This black beauty is an '89 LE 2WD auto transmission. It was too dark to see much more, but she was BEAT. I forcibly opened the drivers door, and she smelled pretty bad. It had some fairly severe front end damage, (pole or tree) and typical rust and dents for a truck of its age. But he got the best motor ever made for FREE!
