OK, so this truck is starting to be a real pain in the arse... I got home tonight and I noticed a rattling sound under the hood. I opened the hood and noticed that the fan had come off completely! Is it hard to put back on? I have never had the fan fall off of any other vehicle before. It looks like it just came unscrewed off of one big screw on the front of the engine.

I also think that I might be losing my second fuel pump. I have all of the same symptoms that I started to notice before they replaced the first one. My mileage is dropping and and there is a loss of power.

This is all with only 35000 miles on the truck. :(

Make sure the fan didn't chew up the radiator. if it did, time to call the dealer for some warranty repairs. Check your fuel pressure if you can.

i hate to say this but every brand has a few lemons in it sound like you might have one. i'd say watch the major repairs 3 times in for the same major problem says you get a new one! goood luck

Problems

Sorry to hear about your problems. Like Fred said, make sure you inspect the fins well. If there is damage, make them correct it right away.

Definitly don't live with the "it's no big deal" theory.

Fixed.

UPDATE: The fan clutch burned up, so they replaced it and everything is great now. My mileage is right back where it should be (about 21 MPG) and the world is a happier place! Fuel pressure was fine. It is amazing how much a bad fan clutch can affect an engine this size!
