I normally just read because others know so much more. But, now I have had the "good" fortune of having DTC codes appear. Quite the disappointment, because the last 11 years have been free of DTC.
I used my Edge Insight to read the codes when I got the check engine light. I got P014C and P2BAC. My preliminary research on here led me to TSB-25-004-13.
It looks like the wiring harness that goes to the O2 sensors on the exhaust system was originally constructed with inadequate gauge wire and must be replaced. In addition, it looks like some heat wrap should be applied to the exhaust system in the vicinity of the O2 sensors. May be good to replace O2 sensors.
Has anyone else experienced/rectified this? Cost?
Finally, how risky is it to drive when throwing such DTCs? Looking at 2,500 mile trip soon.
Thanks!
