After reading several posts on here i decided to go check my fluid levels on the drive train. When i got to the 6speed and the transfer case i didnt have any hex heads (allen wrenches) to take the plugs out to check. I was going to buy some but i didnt know if they were metric or standard and i need the size. I looked through the owners manual and couldnt find the answer there. Next day i called the dodge dealer and got the service manager. I asked him. He said he didnt know, and wanted to know why i wanted to take the plug out. I told him to check the fluid levels. He asked how many miles i had. I told him 2000 he said i didnt need to check the fluid levels yet. I asked him please to ask one of the techs and i would call him back or he could call me . He then said the best way would be to go to the parts store and take a couple wrenches out and buy the one that fit. I just thanked him and hung up. Now thats what i call SERVICE.

If they are the same as previous years the trans is a 17mm and the transfer case is a 3/8. If you can't find a 17mm get a bolt with a 17mm head and 2 nuts and lock the nuts together.

If you want to know everything about your truck go buy a service manual for $110. 00 through DC and it will tell you most everything. :p

Thanks i ordered the service manual about a week ago. Thats what i did i found a 7/16 bolt and double nuted it. I got the plug out oil was 1/4" low. I would have bought the wrong set of hex heads as i would have guessed they were standard not metric. Have a good weekend.
