I decided to change my oil for the first time at 500 miles and will do the next at 3000. I will then do them according to the recommendations of the oil lab (using fleetguard filter and Delo 400). I will say..... that was the first oil change I've ever done without getting even a drop of oil on the floor (I consider that a success). One problem I ran into is that I ordered a heavy duty oil plug from Geno's Garage and it doesn't fit. It's much bigger than the factory drain plug. At one point I was even questioning myself on whether I drained the oil or some other fluid.  Didn't take long to figure out that the drain plug must be a different size on the 2002's as the Geno's plug is suppose to fit up to a 2001 but is no where near close to fitting on my truck. Other than this minor issue and the factory filter that was put on by a 600 pound Gorilla (tight as hell) it was a smooth day under the truck. :) :) :)

Now, off to wash the bad boy.
