I have been surfing this site for the last 4 1/2 years and yesterday i finally became a member (without a CTD)

Still looking and dreaming, i just can't seem to "just do it" I have a good job but thats alot of money for a used truck with 90- 110k

How much should i pay for a used dodge??? I want one so bad, all 3 of my good friends have 99-02 ford powerjokes. They tell me im stupid for wanting a dodge.

I just want to show them what a real truck can do!

Hey don't worry about your friends, do your own thing. And another thing, I am not rich eighter, and it look a bit before I bought a diesel. They are expensive, and it's hard to make the cash. But You will have your Cummins one day, and it will seem even sweeter, Cause you waited, and earned it.

Back in my younger years (the 1960's), all of my friends ran small block Chevys. Heck, so did everyone else - we used to call them "Belly Button" motors (meaning everyone has one). Just because of that, I ran small block Windsor-series (289 & 302) Fords - low 13 second street 1965 Mustang, back in the days when a stock street Hemi would run 13. 50's. It made winning drag races so much more enjoyable! ;) :D

Get the Dodge - be different!

3/4 and 1 ton trucks with the diesel engines well get better MPGs than the same truck with a gasser. add in the longevity of the diesel motors verse the gassers and that more than makes up the additional cost.

I did the same, I lurked here for about a year, then bought a truck and then joined up. Great bunch of people and information on this site. Go to one of the events and talk to a lot of these guys. I went to Muncie last June and am going again next year. All I did there was meet people and learn something new.

Welcome aboard!

Check out the Classifieds here on TDR. This will give you an idea of what they are going for and what you can purchase.

www.traderonline.com has a lot of trucks as well.

Once you find something, get a local TDR member to go with you to check it out or post your find to see if it is a good deal.

Don't worry about the Ford thing. My brother in law has a 96 Ford PS and drools over my 04 and my Dad's 98.

The Dodge kicks butt!:D

Im going to go look at a truck this Sat. 2001 3/4. Its in Western PA, about 2 hours form me??

I live in the ohio valley region by wheeling.

Are there any local TDR members in my area????

Not alot of CTD around here!

Mike

well friend, the truck is by normalville PA. I really don't know anymore about these trucks than what i read on here so i could use any help.

thats about an hour and fifteen minutes south east of me. Never heard of Normalville before. I'm probably not allowed there. Anyway, if you check it out and have any concerns or questions, feel free to let us know.

Normalville is about 5 min from my house. Where is the truck?? I would be willing to look at it with you (or for you first) if you would like. It could save you the trip if it is a dog.
