Traction tires on back - street on front...

Not that they don't do that every day, but today was pretty cool. I helped a buddy install an Edge Comp+Attitude, 4" exhaust and AFE BHAF. After working on my buddy's 99 we loaded up my 3 year old girl ;), and his 4year old boy, saying we were going for a test drive. My daughter says "Are you going to make it smoke?", and his boy says, "I hope the truck is faster now". Talk about making a couple of dads go like this :D :D .

I pulled my old 90 out, to run it down the road, and my daughter and his son are both telling me "Make is smoke, make it smoke". Its pretty neat that both my daughter and I smile about the same thing.

Oh yeah, the Edge+Attitude is pretty impressive, and it smokes a lot too. ;)

:-laf Sounds like you're doing a good job. :D

Get the "over-valved" truck you were going to look at in WI?

No overvalves around here. We decided to hold off for a while and pay for some other things before jumping into another truck.

The other day my son was out washing his first gen while i was working on my GTX. I took it for a little test drive :-laf :-laf down the road, and when i got back he was shaking his finger at me. (he could hear my little test drive from the house) :-laf

Amen MMiller ... trucks are cool but kids are what life's all about

a similiar thing happened last weekend when we go home from indy ...

my 7 year had asked for some real fireworks when we came home ...

but at the last minute on sunday we picked up a set of injectors for the wifes '03 ... can't really afford them but the deal was too good to pass up

we showed up at the house he came running out to see us ... remember now these are the only two days a year we are seperated from our 7 and 13 year olds ... and only because they'd rather stay with the SPOILING grandparents than ride for 7 hours ...

anywho he runs up screaming "daddy's home daddy home" (the best sound ever heard)

shortly thereafter he asks to see his fireworks ... i explain that he didn't get any because we need to give moms truck some smoke

he ponders for a few seconds and beams up at me

"yeah you're right dad ... there'll be lots of fireworks around here ... but i'll have the only mom who's truck can make smoke :) "

i'm not worthy

I couldnt have said that better myself! After loosing Carrie I changed my whole life around to be there for them at whatever cost.

I too am blessed with children who share my passion. My oldest turned 8 in April and she has now changed oil minus the filter twice in my 2000 including dumping in the oil. I just want to cry when I stand back and watch her. And my youngest daughter lets everyone know daddy drives a Cummins Turbo and she will be 3 in August. Now my 3 year old twin son he just wants to be a rock star and always asks for some Poison when we go cruising. How cool is that? I'm pretty sure each of my kids will all have a Cummins truck for a first vehicle.

Mike, has anyone decided on a date for a summer get together yet? Do you have any plans for the 9th of July? Im going to be pulling at the Winneshiek county fair in Decorah at 1 pm that day.

Kids are great! I can't even pop the hood on my truck without this happening. It's even better when my 2 year old points to the engine and says "Cummins!" and then points out the "turbo. " Every time I take my stacks off he cries, "Stacks OOOONNNN! Stacks OOOONNNN!" They both have to have a picture of my truck and BigBadDodge hanging on the wall by their beds. And I though I was a diesel head! :-laf

A year or so ago, we were heading up the road and passed a broken down Powerstroke on the side of the road with the hood up. It had an EMPTY utility trailer in tow. My then 13 year old son said "he must be overloaded!" He's the one who is patiently saving for the 1st gen. :D
