Today I noticed one of the license plate lights has blown. With 100,957 miles and in service since May 3, 2001, this is the first repair my truck has needed. Everything on the truck is original except the fan belt, wiper blades and tires. I think that speaks pretty well for the reliability of these trucks. The fan belt was changed just to stop the squeek on shutdown.

You're one of the lucky ones. I've had countless seals replaced, stop light switch, lift pump, and a few other things that never got taken care of. I just kind of look at it like I'm driving a Cummins with a Dodge wrapped around it - then that makes me feel better. ;)

Thanks for the good report :)

I have had nothing but trouble free miles with my CTDs. The only notable exception was two rear driveshaft u-joints replaced under warranty on the 04.

Knock on wood and all that stuff cuz I sure hope it continues.

THAT'S IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'd get rid of it!!!!!!!!! Or at least take it in for warranty consideration!! I hope your truck stays that good for another 400,000 miles. Greg P. S. Don't brag about it either you might jinx yourself.

If that is the only repair that you have had to make in a 100,000 miles, I would go buy a lottery ticket. Sounds pretty lucky to me!

Hey Forrest I'll be in your neck of the woods next week, 6th to the 10th. If you spot me honk, I do have stacks on now (not in sig). I have family out in Stead. :)

Not to loud untill you make the talk. :--) Anyway maybe we will see up there?
