I am going to put the 12 valve in the M-715 in the background. Is anybody familiar with the 3053A transmission out of a deuce and a half? I have been researching any I think this trannsmission would work better than the NV4500. I am having trouble getting a list together of all the parts needed to mate the two though. Has anybody heard of doing this?

3053 trans

The top side of the 3053 trans is to weak for a turned up 5. 9. I use these as the first trans trainers in the power trains class. Have seen many of busted gears due to top section being force away from the cluster under heavy torque loading.

thanks

That is good to know. I will be running big tires and low gearing, but I don't plan on getting to wild with the engine. I was leaning toward the 3053 because of the cost and I figured it was pretty strong coming out of the 2. 5 ton trucks. But I might reconsider now. I want a near bulletproof drivetrain, when I offroad I like to get really far a from civilization and I want my parts to hold up.
