Battery 101 Question

Truth about aftermarket intercoolers when towing heavy.

Do you think its to much weight for my C&C? :-laf :-laf :-laf

On a serious note, I still have a some finishing touches to do on it. I've had it since Dec 2012, but it came disassembled and with some problems. I had to have a new axle shipped and other accessories that were missing. The hardware was cheap and made it look crude when it was put together, so I bought all new stainless hardware as well as changed the way the coupler was attached. The challenge was and is the wiring, what was sent was cheap and the replacement was expensive, so I used some of what was sent and bought a 5pin chrome plug and receptacle and better wiring as well as a bracket to support the plug & receptacle.

I need to finish by the fall so I'm in no hurry, but will be registering it in a couple of days so I can actually start the road tests and check the suspension and wiring while riding.

Where's the WD bars, sway control or Hensley? You can't tow that w/o sway bars don't cha kno!

Good looking rig, enjoy. Still, might make a hoot of an eye catcher with some fake WD bars and sway chains, or paint the hitch "orange" yuck!

Just extra storage, with a cooler in front. Me and the wife rode a three thousand mile trip and found as we traveled we collected crap that added weight to an already maxed out GVW. We shipped a package from Colorado to SoCal to help on that trip. We want to run to Canada this fall if the cards fall into place right. So far it's iffy, but I have to prepare for it now. I have an unexpected expense on the C&C this May and helped with a funeral of my wife's brother who died suddenly.

Actually it is dark and light rootbeer. It's hard to see the true color in a pic. When not in the sun it looks like dark and light brown, but in the sun it sparkle's and is an awesome looking bike. It's why I bought it and traded my black 07 HD for it.

Man what a disgrace to goats!

That's great looking setup RVTRKN, how is riding with a trailer? Any difference in cornering or braking?

Thanks I have not taken it on a ride yet, as mentioned prior it is not finished yet. The ball hitch swivels/pivots from side to side, so it will allow the bike to lean and the trailer to stay level. It came with a lot of problems, but the manufacture of it has tried to satisfy me, but even with them trying hard to satisfy me, I would never buy anything from them again. It does look good from a distance, and it is hard to get the paint flaws in a picture, but they are there. I have not registered it yet, the picture I took was to help motivate me into finishing it. The last big item left, is to wire the Harley with an isolated trailer harness, what they sent was crap, so I ordered some hardware and electrical which has now all come in. I will be finishing it this weekend and registering it next week, hope it rides good.

Needs a set of custom wheel chocks too. Hey, why not rig a fake 30A power recepticle and a water line connection on it too! Fantastic fan on top and a Montanna or Cougar sticker, let 'em wonder.

I didnt mention Steve NICE RIG!!! Congrats, during the summer months MANY MANY ride up and down Hwy 83 in front of the house and thru town its one of Montana's senic Hwy system one could take a lawn chair a cooler of adult soda's and make a day of it. ;)
