My New Truck

Just picked up my new 2500 HD with the 325 HP engine and automattic. Its my first diesel and I am thrilled with its inital performance. Great acceleration, smooth running and very quiet. I have no experience with a jake brake. I am also a loss to fully understand what effect adding one has on the WARRANTY. Any help on that score would be appreciated. I would also like to hear about favorite brands of brakes. MIKE

Congratulations on your new truck, Mike! I believe there's some hang-up with the automatic/exhaust brake combo. They were originally giving the ok on it, but they changed it back to auto equiped trucks not being approved for exhaust brakes. Maybe someone else with more knowlege on the current ins and outs of that issue will chime in. A forum search may yield some information on the topic as well. Enjoy your new truck!
