My niece is stranded in CA need help.

Need a little help here buds. My niece lost her dad some time and I'm trying to pick up the slack. Her 2003 3500 left her afoot in Los Banos CA with a failed lift pump. It is at the Dodge dealer there. The dealer is telling her the LP is on national back order. Any idea if a dealer will install a LP purcahsed from a Cummins dealer. They are also telling her that there was a bunch of crap in her fuel filter. I changed her fuel filter at Christmas time less than 6,000 miles ago all was well at that time. . Once she gets to school at Cal Poly in San Luis obispo. I want her to have a fuel pressure gauge installed. She rodeos and really needs to have her truck not strand her. Does any body know of a good shop near her. The truck is bone stock any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

The dealer shouldn't have a problem installing the lift pump from Cummins. If they do, they are just being *****e$. As a matter of fact, since the dealer can't get the part, he can give the Cummins shop a Purchase Order to do the repair. He should be able to do the same for the part.
