My old man has a 95 cummins turbo diesel and is a current member of TDR, but he isn't computer savvy.

he was wondering what type of turbo he has on his truck. we thing its an HX35 but we are unsure. Can some one pleas clear this up for us?

We also wanted to know if his turbo was ball baring or not?

Would a better compressor wheel help him?

Would it lag more?

Would it cause the turbo to spin faster?

He has some mods to the fuel system, but no injectors.

My stock turbo had a tag on it, so if his is the original it should also. My stock turbo lasted over 750k with moderate hp upgrades. There are better ones but with only small mods I doubt he will notice much difference.

Do they have a ball bearings upgrade kit for the HX35?

My paps wants to send a little money in upgrading his turbo with ball bearings and a larger compressor wheel on his HX35. We would like to install turbo upgrades with out the price of a new turbo. We are looking for a little more air volume, bring the down EGT's and to spool faster.

The mild upgrade option would by a hybrid, like a dodgezilla or the piers hybrid. It all cost money though... Maybe a better tubo thats used perhaps. .

I'd say to call PDR and ask, but I doubt if there is one tha tboth spools sooner and cools better on the top end. what are the EGT's?I'd suggest you simply mod the wategate to allow higher boost first. It will be safe to 30-35 psi.
