I checked the lift pump (seond one in 167,0000 seems a very small amount of fuel on hand through bleeder ,I did have a leak in return line and replaced small section with rubber fuel hose . truck ran a short time today then quit!!!! ideas??? dkoldno7
I guess we could have a pity party, mine won't start either! I found that you have to open that bleeder screw quite a ways to get a large volume of diesel squirting out, just a turn will not allow much flow. My new pump puts out LOTS of fuel when hand priming if the screw is open a ways.
Well it was the lift pump,Napa gave me a new one as the old one only had limited miles on it the new on is from Turkey wish I could find good old USA parts!
I'd say go somewhere other than NAPA. I got mine from O'Reilley's- it was an AirTex, not sure where it was made, but it seems to work for now. At least til I get my injector pump hot-rodded.
