Just had my stock 2001 on the Dyno. I was surprised at the results. I had been led to believe that I should get about 193 HP and 320-350 ft lbs of torque. I was pleasantly surprised to get 217 HP and 434. 89 ft lbs where the wheel hits the pavement. I haven't heard of anyone else posting like results.

Now a question looms. I was thinking about getting an EZ, VA or like minor mod but now have concerns that my torque will exceed the rating of 550 ft lbs for my NV4500. Anyone gone beyond this limit without changing stock driveline parts? Should I be concerned if I am within say 20% of that value?

R,

Andy

Your a manual truck, so your on par with what most get. The 190hp figure is generally refering to the stock autos.

As far as how much torque your truck will handle, it all depends on how you drive it. A simple mod such as an EZ or VA shouldn't be a problem. Anything after that then you have to be concerned with things.
