I don't know which came first, it is probley like the chicken and the egg, but it seems like it is almost the same as the lukes link. I like my lukes link. I don't have any clearance issues and I didn't have to do any welding.
The Lindstat was the first on the TDR scene, followed about the same time by the DT Heim unit then the Luke's link. Then the Solid Steel unit and somewhere the DT unit became bolt on? Now I hear of a mod to to the Second Gen bar "Thuen's" (sp)? which uses a high end joint as well, as reported by users on the forums.
I wore out two Lindstat Alignment pieces and one from Luke's Link. Some of what may have been a worn upper ball stud cup and worn ball stud (that you reuse from your oem track bar). An inadequacy that I experienced was the ability to keep tension up over time. The cotter key holes were spaced at the wrong places and it was either too tight or too loose.
I think both are ok, but I found something much better that requires no grease or maintenance other than potential track bar bushings.
