Satalite TV Snafu.........

I didnt know hwere to post these, but I got some pics of my truck in work mode. When this truck is tearing up the 1/4 mi and towing my trailers,it is plowing and spreading salt. Here is a pic of my truck,it weighs 11600 lbs in this picture:eek: . It has a little over a yard of salt in it (almost 3000lbs),and is carring a 1000lb plow,as well as some tools,,and about 6 50 lb bags of calcium under the spreader, with shovels, ect there too. Im not to good at posting pictures it may take me a while... ... John

I cant figure out how to get the pic on here, and it wont let me delete the first post, sorry guys. I give up( I hate puters)

Snowman, if you're still having trouble, maybe the pics or the file sizes are too big. If you want, you can email them to me and I'll resize and post them for you.

John, most of the attachments you sent me were just links to where the pics were on your hard drive. I got 3 of them, but since 2 are nearly identical, I'll post those 2.

First one.

Good looking rig John, I know how ya feel I sure racked my brain un till i figured it out that was my problem the pic was to big all i had to do was reset the camera, good luck. Harv

Thanks Jim! There was no way I was going to figure out how to do it. The thing I like about both the plow and spreader is I can have both of them off the truck in under 5 minutes, without tools or a loader. The plow is off in 30 seconds, literally. I unhook 4 tie downs, slip off the spinner assy(it slides into a groove, just flip a lever, and back up to an old unused truck i have sitting, with it on the plastic bedliner,it only weighs 400 lbs,it slides right out into the old truck. One big 7 wire HD connector, and its off. The spreader is a 1. 5 yard capacity.

Snow man... . Look at that 2500 setting there with 3000 pounds on it, all level and just asking for more!!

What I can't understand is why you don't list air bags in your signature. You could air them up untill the shocks didn't work at all, then because they didn't work, replace them with them 9000 what ever's and they still wouldn't work. But you would be supposed to feel better.

I don't understand that. They way that truck hauls that load why would you want to mess with it. Oh well.

Wyo Jim, I am happy with the stock suspension. I mean the truck is settign there at 11500-12000 lbs,and it has travel left front and rear. My original shocks are finalyl starting to give up. I just need a set of Bilstiens or Rancho's and Im done with the suspension,I do not intend to add air bags ir anythign ti it,it works, its simple, ill leave it alone. If i load the spreader heavy (3700lbs)loaded without the plow, then it will squat about 2" lower in the rear than the front. I also have a GMC 2500 ,the Dodge holds the weight better,no doubt about it,even though the GMC has more legal payload.

Snow man... Those are my sentiments exactly. I cringe every time some one suggests air bags to help a tongue weight of a couple thousand pounds on their 5th wheel or trailer or to haul an 8ft. light weight camper.

This is my 2500 sitting in a pull off in British Columbia all loaded on its way to Alaska and weighing around 3500 pounds. All I have ever done is add the Rancho 9000's when an OEM sprung a leak. I couldn't ask for it to handle any better.
