Less than a month ago my truck was stock. I've owned it for 3 years now and had never done any mods. Partly because I didn't know what to do and partly because I didn't know how to do it. Thanks to this site and a couple of others I really woke her up. I used to like to drive it but now I can't wait to drive it. This is however very addicting and there should be some sort of warning on the home page that deals with that. :D

well, i know how that goes... at least you owned 3 years of the truck before you slipped into the never ending... After owning my CTD for 6 months things started... And, I'll tell ya, doesn't seem like it's stopping... I thought i'd get bored or run out of money-- not bored, and using the CC a bit! !

Another first step on the slippery slope...

Welcome to the dark side indeed.

I started with a shift kit many years ago. If I have time this summer to port and install my new head and get my PDR twins and Banks Twinram on it will be done! Except for the crew cab, stoopid pump, Putco stainless running boards...

6 months? Mine didn't make it 2 weeks before gauges, the plate got slid, and 4'' exhaust! I've only had my truck for 4 months and look at my signature!

Like you, I was a little slow bombing mine. Bought mine in Sept. 2000 and other than a K&N filter, she was stock until 2003. Running around empty it was fine. Put some weight in the rear or a tow a trailer and she turned into a real slug. I then found TDR and it has been fun ever since.

You will be severely limited in HP/TQ until you upgrade your transmission. My stock transmission was ok with a #6 plate, but after adding 3k springs and having my timing bumped, the TC started slipping. That is when you find out how deep your pockets are.

I'm sure you all have heard this before but, I think I'm done for a little while, or at least till my transmission shows signs of a problem. ;)

ha! wait to you start rationalizing the next upgrade... The transmission will wait until you can't move forward!!!!! GEE! :--) :-laf

"I almost feel that this could complete my mods, but we all know that will be short lived. "

Since I have changed out 300 injectors to 370's and switch to a dodgezilla turbo. Am I done... . I guess for now.
