My uncles TC toast @ 50k

My uncle has an '03 with 50K, about 40K is all towing mileage with his 5ver which weighs about 12K loaded. He has 4. 10's and he does tend to lockout OD when descending a hill for a little extra braking. Truck is 100% stock except for an aFe. Dealer just replaced TC under warranty, no problem.
